The Cafesjian Art Trust is a new public institution featuring the private art collection of Gerard Cafesjian. His 3000+ pieces of art include Contemporary and Modern paintings and sculpture, as well as one of the most impressive collections of art glass sculpture in the world.
The CAT is located at 4600 Churchill Street, Shoreview, MN — North of 694, near the intersection of Lexington and County Rd. G (Highway 96).
The CAT Museum is open for tours by reservation only on Thursdays and Fridays at 10:00am, 1:00pm, and 3:00pm. Visitors may drop-in anytime on Saturdays between 10:00am–4:30pm. You can make a reservation here or by calling (612) 359-8991.

The CAT Museum welcomes large groups of up to 25 people on Thursdays and Fridays at 10:00am, 1:00pm, and 3:00pm. Please call (612) 359-8991 to reserve a time for your group to visit.
We do not rent out the museum to outside parties. We host special ticketed events including exhibition opening receptions, and family programming. Visit our events page for more information.
We do not have food at the CAT. But there are a variety of places to eat or grab a coffee in the vicinity, including Shore 96 and Churchill St.

You do not need to present a physical ticket. If you have a reservation for a Thursday or Friday tour, you will check in at the front desk using the name under which the reservation was booked.

The CAT Museum displays one exhitibion in the Main Gallery at a time, as well as a smaller exhibition in the Focus Gallery. We have additional artwork on display in the lobby and library, including a chandelier by Dale Chihuly that is on permanent display. The exhibitions rotate every four to six months, providing many opportunities to revisit the museum. Please see our Exhibitions page to learn what’s currently on view and what is upcoming.
Tours at the CAT Museum are approximately 30 minutes long. Visitors are then given time to explore the Museum on their own afterward. Tours are offered at the CAT Museum on Thursdays and Fridays by reservation only at 10:00am, 1:00pm, and 3:00pm. Visitors may join a drop-in tour on Saturdays at 1:00pm. We have a coat rack that you may use during your visit, located just in front of our reception desk. The CAT cannot be responsible for the loss or theft of items left at the coat rack.
Yes, we have a parking lot next to the entrance on the south side of the museum.
Yes. We welcome researchers, students, artists, curators, and art enthusiasts to explore the resources we have to offer in the library. The library can be booked for four-hour increments on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Please email info@cafesjianarttrust.org or call (612) 359-8991 to reserve a time. Ahead of your visit, please visit our library catalogue to see all of the books we have to offer.
No, all books must remain at the CAT Museum.
The library contains books on various topics, with a focus on the artists in the museum collection. There are also rare books, and books embellished by artists. Visit our library catalogue to see all of the books we have to offer.
We make our best efforts to provide opportunities for researchers to review works in our collection that are not currently on display. Because of scale, complexity, or other factors, we may not be able to fulfill your request. Please call (612) 359-8991 for more information.
Chest and bottle feeding are welcome throughout the museum. We also have a private space with an outlet and a chair available for pumping or nursing; please ask staff for access.
Yes. Please ask a staff member for access to a gender-neutral single user bathrooms available in the CAT’s offices.
