Welcome

The CAT Museum welcomes art lovers of all types—from aficionados and scholars to casual appreciators and curious newcomers. Our goal is to create an art experience that’s accessible, enjoyable, inspirational, and enlightening for anyone; so of course, admission is free. We invite you to come explore this world class 3000+ piece collection.

Museum reservations

The museum is free to all and open for guided tours only. Reservations are required. Tours are at 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm on Saturdays. Schedule your tour online or call us at (612) 359-8991.

Group tours

For groups larger than 7, please call (612) 359-8991 to schedule your tour. We offer guided exhibition tours during operating hours: 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm on Saturdays.

School Visits

The CAT Museum is happy to host FREE student field trips throughout the week. We work with individual teachers and schools to accommodate specific logistical needs and learning goals. Bus funding is available to cover the cost of your transportation to the museum. To learn more or to schedule your field trip, please contact Laura Steefel-Moore at laura@catmuseumllc.com.

Library reservations

Our library includes books and materials related to the collection of the Cafesjian Art Trust, including many books on our special collections. It is available to researchers, artists, curators, and students interested in gaining additional understanding of the artists in the Cafesjian Art Trust. Reservations are in half day increments and can be made by calling (612) 359-8991.

Directions and parking

We are located at 4600 Churchill Street, Shoreview MN. Parking is free.

From 694: Take the exit for Lexington/Hwy. 51 and go north for 1 ½ mile. Turn right on County Rd. G/Hwy. 96, then left on Churchill and right into the south parking lot.

From 35W: Take the exit for County Rd. G/Hwy. 96 and go east for 2 miles. Turn left on Churchill and then right into the south parking lot.
